 Masonic Education

The Ronald J. Keel Fellowcraft Club exuberantly continues the Masonic education of our brethren while the Lodge itself is closed during the “dark” of winter. However, unlike most presentations within the formal confines of the Lodge-room, the Fellowcraft Club’s educational seminars are given in a much more relaxed atmosphere, and are open to Masons of all degrees.[i] This fosters a collegial atmosphere where brethren are encouraged to ask questions, discuss tangents, and further deepen their knowledge in several different aspects of the history, tradition, philosophy, and symbolism of the Craft. Absent the usual business of the Lodge, educational meetings of the RJK Fellowcraft Club focus exclusively on the instruction of the brethren present.

Over the years, several portions of Concordia Collegium have been presented by the brethren of the RJK Fellowcraft Club, including “Introduction to the History, Mythology, & Philosophy of Freemasonry” and “Papers, Presentations, and Primary Sources” by J. C. Litwin, as well as “the Symbolism of the First and Second Degree Tracing Boards” by Daniel J. Di Natale.

Furthermore, the RJK Fellowcraft Club takes pride in having the opportunity to present sections and lectures from the Masonic University of New York (MUNY). For example, during 2008, a Lodge Walkabout was performed by the Fellowcraft Club, and, in the 2009 season, a lecture on Masonic Etiquette and Protocol was given by James Kipler.  In addition, the Fellowcraft Club is excited to be offering the Masonic Development Course, in three parts, during our 2010 season.
